Officially selected films and winners will be decided by an industry panel. All entries are judged based on 6 key areas: Originality, Production Values, Cinematography, Performances, Editing, and Sound Design.
All selected films and winning films will receive ORION IFF Official Laurels Entrants retain all ownership rights to their films & photographs submitted.
ORION IFF FILM AWARDS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Films must have been completed between 2020 to 2023. If selected films must be available for download via FilmFreeway, Vimeo Screener, or sent via MyAirBridge. All non-English language films must have English language subtitles. If film has been viewed/available on the internet without a password it will not be accepted. Submissions must be uploaded and submitted no later than the deadline date to qualify for the respective entry fees. Late submission will not be accepted after the final submission deadline. If selected, a press kit must be provided.
Short excerpts or trailers can be displayed on the ORION website for publicity. Films will not be shown in their entirety.
SUBMISSION CHECKLIST Digital press kits should include:
Three publicity stills from the film.
Three screenshots from the film.
Stills must be submitted by email clearly labeled with film title.
